The Veterans Memorial Highway was completed in the fall of 2003. The unveiling and dedication of the highway and signs took place at the Carbonear end of the highway on December 21, 2005. Two Last Post Fund road panels in Carbonear were added to the main panels to mark the centennial of the organization.
