The W.R. Wright Memorial Cup was donated in March of 1918 in honour of Lieutenant William Richard Wright, who died during the First World War. The Cup is awarded annually for the winner of the Lawn Tennis Tournament. His mother used the money in his bank account after his death to present the large trophy as a gift to the school.
