This memorial is dedicated to the fiftieth anniversary of the end of the Second World War and was unveiled on 15 June 1995. In 1995 Doctor Daigle was the Honorary President of the Military Memorial Foundation and Major Tremblay, whose ashes are part of this site, was a member of the foundation.
