Additional information
Son of Paul Edward and Esther Vanderpump, of Enfield, Middlesex. Brother of Paul George of Middlesex, England. He stated he was single and a farmer. Gun shot wound left groin by bullet during attack on Regina Trench in the Somme, 25 October 1916, subsequently returned to action and received shrapnel wound to both thighs and right calf.

Monchy-le-Preux is a village about 7 kilometres south-east of Arras and WINDMILL BRITISH CEMETERY lies to the south of the village on the north side of the main Arras-Cambrai road, the D939.
