The Lake of the Woods Milling Company First World War Roll of Honour was erected in the Memorial Building, date unknown. The Memorial Building was constructed as a living memorial after the First World War by the Lake of the Woods Milling Company Limited. The building opened in December of 1920. The Lake of the Woods Milling Company Limited operated a mill in Keewatin for 79 years, from 1888 until 1967 when most of it burned to the ground and was never rebuilt.
The Keewatin Legion Branch 13 was formed in 1926. The Roll of Honour was transferred to the Keewatin Legion, date unknown. The legion's new building opened in 1965 and the prior building was demolished.
The Legion closed in September of 2016. The building is now privately owned and the Roll of Honour still hangs inside.
