This memorial to the No. 8 and No. 41 Service Flying Training Schools of the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan was erected by 600 (City of Regina) Wing, Royal Canadian Air Force Association.

SERVICE FLYING TRAINING SCHOOLS

THE BRITISH COMMONWEALTH AIR TRAINING PLAN OPERATED
AIRFIELDS ACROSS CANADA TRAINING AIRCREWS DURING
1940 - 1945
TWO UNITS WERE BASED AT WEYBURN AIRFIELD DURING WORLD
WAR II - TRAINING PILOTS FOR THE FIGHT AGAINST TYRANNY.
PILOTS TRAINED HERE JOINED THE 131,500 AIRCREW TRAINED
IN CANADA UNDER THE B.C.A.T.P. SOME 40,000 OF WHOM GAVE
THEIR LIVES IN THE DEFENCE OF FREEDOM.

THIS CAIRN RECOGNIZED THOSE YOUNG MEN AND WOMEN
WHO SERVED AND TRAINED HERE.
