Sign in to My VAC AccountThe performing arts students of the Canadian College of Performing Arts will take the stage in a shared performance evening with the Band of the 5th Field Regiment, Royal Canadian Artillery, for a concert and theatrical performance celebrating and honouring service. Since 2018 this concert has offered a fully accessible community performance at the Dave Dunnet Community Theatre in Oak Bay in partnership with the District of Oak Bay.
We will be holding an Act of Remembrance on November 11 at the Fort Langley Cenotaph. The service will commence at approximately 10.30 am.
Founded in 2018 in South Surrey/White Rock BC, the Canadian Walk For Veterans brings Canadians together to walk shoulder to shoulder in recognition of our military and Veteran communities. Guided by a shared commitment to connection, the Walk creates space for Canadians to come together in support of Veteran mental health, well-being, and transition to life after service.
Memorial Parade to be held to commemorate the 86th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain. This parade involves Air Cadets from the Lower Mainland and the Fraser Valley areas of British Columbia. It is being organized by the Air Cadet League of Canada, BC Provincial Committee in conjunction with the Regional Cadet Support Unit (Pacific). The public is cordially invited to attend this parade.
Under the auspices of the BC Veterans Remembrance Association, representatives of the Canadian Armed Forces; Navy, Army, and Air Force, civilian police and RCMP, and veterans will gather to commemorate the service of more than 125,000 Canadians who have served on United Nations missions.

Korean War Commemorative Concert at Korean Central Presbyterian Church in Surrey, BC.
We invite members of the public to participate by contributing letters, artwork, photographs, small symbolic items and messages that honor and recognize those who have served Canada.
As a part of this special milestone, we will be creating a Community Time Capsule that will remain sealed and be opened in 50 years.
