The Western Front, 1918.

Nurses Christy, Maggie, and Bab have crossed the ocean from Canada to care for wounded soldiers in the First World War. Despite the terrible injuries they must deal with, they manage to stay hopeful as the dangers of war draw closer to their hospital. Through it all, the three women find friendship, independence, power, and influence in a place where men, once again, are trying to destroy the world.

The Fugitives present Ridge, a visceral music storytelling show centered around the Battle of Vimy Ridge that probes difficult, yet necessary, questions about how and why we grieve. In Ridge, Brendan McLeod and The Fugitives perform their JUNO nominated 5th album Trench Songs to accompany the First World War storytelling and thought-provoking narrative McLeod provides.
