Sign in to My VAC AccountIn June of 1919 a lectern in The Church of the Good Shepherd was dedicated to the parishioners who lost their lives in the First World War.
In May 2015 four churches, The Church of the Good Shepherd, St. John Weston, St. David and The Church of the Advent, voted to amalgamate, and the new Church of St. Mary and St. Martha was opened on 11 October 2015.
A window in the baptistry of The Church of the Good Shepherd was dedicated to the memory of Private Albert Edward England who died in the First World War. Albert was born in Bowmanville, Ontario on 12 March 1879. He worked as an engineer in Saskatchewan before he enlisted with the Canadian Expeditionary Force in Winnipeg on 8 March 1916 and was transferred to the 27th Battalion when he reached Europe. On 6 November 1917 he was killed in action while fighting at Passchendaele.

To the Glory of God and in Grateful Remembrance of all from this Congregation who served the Empire in
World War II 1939 - 1945. The names of those who made the supreme sacrifice are embodied in this
Memorial and the names of all who served are inscribed on the adjoining Tablets.
The Church of the Epiphany Second World War Window is dedicated to the members of the congregation who died during the war and the Church of the Epiphany Second World War Plaques are located on both sides of the window. The Church of the Epiphany was located at 1515 Queen Street West until it was sold on 11 June 1983 to the Our Lady of Lebanon Parish.
To the Glory of GOD and in Loving Memory of Jos. Wm. Sparrow died Oct. 31, 1912, aged 53 years and his son Charles H. Sparrow.
Lieut. 47th Bn., C.E.F. Killed in action at Vimy Ridge, March 31, 1917, aged 23 years. Erected by a loving wife and mother, A.D. 1918.

The Sparrow Window was erected in the Church of the Epiphany by Mrs. Sparrow in memory of her husband Joseph Sparrow who died in 1912 and their son Lieutenant Charles Hutchison Sparrow who died in the First World War. The Church of the Epiphany was located at 1515 Queen Street West until it was sold on 11 June 1983 to the Our Lady of Lebanon Parish.
