The annual event is to commemorate the contributions of St. John Ambulance volunteers who served as part of the Voluntary Aide Detachment during both World Wars and to honour the memory of the many brave men and women of the Canadian Armed Forces who fought in subsequent international conflicts and paid the ultimate sacrifice. The event also recognizes CAF members who serve today, at home and abroad.
