To encourage youth to write thank you letters to Canadian Veterans who served in the Gulf War.
Youth will:
To increase youth awareness and understanding of the evolution of the role of Canadian women in the military, and develop an understanding of an important milestone that was accomplished during the 1990-1991 Gulf War.
Through this activity, youth will:
To increase youth awareness and understanding of the Gulf War, as well as the Canadian men and women who served during this time, through the lens of media.
Through this activity, youth will:
To allow students to gain a greater understanding of the achievements and sacrifices of women who have served in the Canadian military over the years.
Students will be expected to:
To increase youth awareness of the many Canadian women who have died in military service since the First World War.
Through this activity, young people will:

Youth will gain an awareness and understanding of the challenges faced by 2SLGBTQI+ Canadian service members during a time known as “The LGBT Purge.”

Youth will gain a greater awareness of human rights in Canada and an understanding of some of the serious discrimination that 2SLGBTQI+ people have experienced while serving in uniform over the years.
To increase youth awareness of Canadian Armed Forces efforts in Afghanistan.

The Invictus Games 2025 will take place 8-16 February 2025 in Vancouver and Whistler, British Columbia. More than 500 Veterans and still-serving military personnel from more than 20 nations, including more than 50 members from Team Canada will compete in nine winter and indoor adaptive sports.
