Royal Canadian Legion Dominion Convention

The Honourable Kent Hehr, Minister of Veterans Affairs and Associate Minister of National Defence, participated in the Royal Canadian Legion’s 46th Dominion Command Convention.

As part of the weekend activities, Minister Hehr co-hosted a joint reception on the evening of Saturday, June 11, with Tom Eagles, Dominion President of the RCL. The reception was attended by senior officers of the Royal Canadian Legion Dominion Command and local dignitaries.

A wreath-laying ceremony was held Sunday morning at the Newfoundland War Memorial where Minister Hehr, His Honour the Honourable Frank Fagan, Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador, and Mrs. Sheila Anderson, National Silver Cross Mother laid wreaths.
