Each day from Nov 1-11, Operation Remembrance will release a video created by students from participating schools across the country.
Operation Remembrance – Day 9
80th Anniversary of WWII: Europe, Lieutenant Willie Glaser
Students from HEBREW FOUNDATION SCHOOL (Montreal, QC) will create a video honouring Lieutenant Willie Glaser, a member of the First Polish Armoured Division. After landing in Juno Beach on June 11, 1944, Glaser fought his way through France, Belgium, Holland, and Germany. In 1947, Glaser immigrated to Canada under a program to resettle Polish army veterans. He is a longstanding member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 097 in Montreal.
