Sending a virtual postcard with Facebook

  1. On your Facebook home page, tap on “What’s on your mind” at the top of the page to create a post.
  2. Tap on “Photo/Video” and select one of our previously saved virtual postcards from your camera roll. Tap “Done”.
  3. Next, tap on “Edit”. Tap on the “Aa” button on the top right. Type in your personal thank you message and tap “Done”.
  4. Tap and hold your personalized message and drag it in the text box on the postcard. Tap “Next”.
  5. Tap the “Say something about this photo” text box, and add in the #Netherlands75 and tag us @CanadaRemembers

Sending a virtual postcard with Instagram Stories

  1. On your Instagram home page, tap on your profile image with the blue + sign on the top left.
  2. Tap on the small square photo button on the bottom left of your screen, and select one of our previously downloaded virtual postcards from your camera roll.
  3. Next, tap on the button, “Aa” on the top right. Type in your personal thank you message. Tap ‘Done’
  4. Tap and hold the message and then drag it in the text box on the postcard.
  5. Tap the sticker button on the top right of your screen, and tap “Hashtag”. Type in “Netherlands75”, tap “Done”.
  6. Tap and hold “#Netherlands75’” to position wherever it is visible on your postcard.
  7. Tap “Send to”! and choose “your story”
