Personal information
Charles graduated from the Royal Military College (RMC) in 1896. He was a member of the Loyal North Lancashire and served in the army. He was the first Canadian Officer to fall in battle during the Boer War. He is commemorated on the RMC Memorial Arch in Kingston, Ontario.
