Context
The force was to observe the 1979 Camp David accord between Israel and Egypt and was set up by the United States.

Awarded for six months cumulative service between 25 April 1982 to present.
Description
The medal is a circular, bronze alloy 1.37 inches (35 mm) in diameter:
on the obverse, inside a circle, a stylized dove of peace with an olive branch. Around the edge the inscription "MULTINATIONAL FORCES & OBSERVERS". The words "& OBSERVERS" are located at the bottom centre.
on the reverse, the inscription in five lines: "UNITED IN SERVICE FOR PEACE".
A large ring attached tot he top of the medal has a small fine ring linked to it and the second ring is welded to the bottom of a thick straight bar. The ends of the bar turn up and attach to a second bar, with the ribbon passing between.
The ribbon has five stripes : bright orange, dark green, white, dark green and bright orange.

There is no bar to this medal.
Wearing
The medal shall be worn in sequence prescribed in the Canadian Orders, Decorations and Medals Directive, and in the following manner:
on the left breast, suspended from the ribbon described above, after the ICCS medal and before the ECMMY medal.
Postnomials
The use of a post-nominal is not authorized for this medal.
