On these pages are recorded the names of Canadians linked forever by common cause and singular service.

These are the men and women of the Armed Forces who since Octobert 1947 have continued a Canadian tradition of selflessness and courage and offered the supreme sacrifice in the military service of out country.

At home and abroad they stood on guard and devoted themselves to the defence of our freedoms and to our way of life. In the final instance they gave their lives on our behalf.

All honour goes to those who laid down their lives so that others might live in freedom and peace.
