He served with the Queen’s York Regiment (1st Armoured Regiment) at camp Fort York, in Arnprior, Ontario, from 8 April 1936 to 25 October 1939 with 3 years, 6 months and 17 days of service. With the Royal Canadian Air Force, he had 578 days of service, including 272 overseas.
