  • Document– High school registration card for Alan Foote filled out when he entered North Toronto Collegiate in Toronto (1933). He later transferred to Lawrence Park Collegiate Institute when it opened in 1936. He left in 1940 to join the RCAF.
  • Death Certificate– Alan's Ontario Death Certificate. Note that the date on this document does not agree with the RCAF's.
There is very little in Foote's miltiary Pers file in Ottawa. There is no Committee of Adjustment file, no Estate file, no reports of any type on his crew and their deaths.

  • Letter– This letter by Flying Officer Reynolds was submitted as a reference to his enlistment in the RCAF. You can see that Alan is enthusiatic about flying as he already has his private pilots licence.

  • Document (4)– This report on Alan's training progress has him slated to be pilot from the very beginning of his training. His marks on the course are exceptional. The comments by the S/L commanding the #80 Course highly recommend him for pilot duies.

  • Document (5)– This card shows the posting and attachments that Alan had during his training and operations with 9 Sqdn. Not that he was SOS his Sqdn as soon as his aircraft was declared missing. He was TOS the RCAF Non/Effectives Unit(ie. missing or dead)>

  • Document (6)– Here is the main Service Document from Foote's file in Ottawa. It condenses his time in the RCAF to a few groups of dates and Places. There is no indication in his service file as to where or how his plane crashed. Iam still researching that part of his service.
