Son of James Morton Brown and Mary Elizabeth (nee Flett) Brown, of Carleton Place, Ontario. Brother of Captain Arthur Roy Brown, DSC and Bar, Margaret, Bessie and Howard. The Town of Carleton remembered Lieutenant Brown by naming a street in his honour.
