Son of John E. and Dorothy Ross of Winnipeg, Manitoba Husband of Kathleen (nee Rydo) Gooch, of Essondale, British Columbia. Discharged after 58 days on 8 November 1939 using the alias Ross, Arthur Henry. He re-enlisted and was discharged at Winnipeg, Manitoba on 5 April 1946. Private Gooch was a Hong Kong Prisoner of War.
