Son of Richard Clarke, of Alexander St., St. John's, and of Mary Teresa Clark (now Mrs. Hawco), of Roaches Line, Brigus, Newfoundland. Served as William Fowler and he is also commemorated under that name on page 43.

Janice is the 2x great niece of William Henry Clarke. His  great nieces & sisters Debbie Clarke Belanger & Tracey Clarke placed them on his grave marker July 5, 2023.
