  • Grave Marker– Grave of 2084 Pvt. John Howard who served with the Canadian Army Service Corps C.E.F. (C.A.S.C.). Born in Vancouver BC on Dec. 24th 1882. Husband to Elizabeth A. Howard he enlisted into the C.E.F. at Vancouver BC on Nov. 1st 1914, he listed prior military service of a total of 9 years in the Royal Horse Artillery. He listed his occupation as "Steam Fitter" and his religion as "Free Thinker"  John died at Vancouver BC of the Spanish flu on July 20th 1918 at the age of 35.  He was laid to rest in the Mountain View cemetery of Vancouver BC.
