  • Photo of Ralph Elvin Turnbull– My Uncle Ralph, often known as Chink, was my mother's twin brother. He was a World War 2 vet like most of his brothers, and was injured during that war. He volunteered to go to Korea when that conflict started, and was killed by an accidental discharge. The family was notified of his death on 31 Dec 1953, making New Years Eve a solemn occasion with our family (The date change was because it crossed the International Date Line)
  • Memorial Plaque– Memorial plaques for Private Ralph Elvin Turnbull, Private Joseph Louis Fortunat Phillipp Vaillant, Trooper Gordon Harry Waldner and Private Donald Edward Walker on the Korean Veterans National Wall of Remembrance in Meadowvale Cemetery, Brampton, Ontario.
