Invictus Games 2018: Aaron Boulanger
Invictus Games
Transcript
Aaron Boulanger (Acting Sub-Lieutenant, Team Canada): I just finished rowing my first row of the day
and it feels really good to get out there in front of the crowd and get things going.
As a visually impaired competitor, he couldn’t have done it without his father, who is immensely proud of him.
Boulanger: It’s been great having him by my side the whole time out there cheering me on and telling me to keep going.
It’s been great having family beside me.
Claude Boulanger (Father and Coach): I am overwhelmed, I am so proud of him. It’s been a long journey.
It’s touching, you know, to see how far he’s come. I’m ecstatic
and I’m looking forward to the next few days of competition and enjoying my days here.
You know, and Aaron’s come a long ways and I’m very happy and so is the family, so we’re happy.
A message from the Government of Canada.
