Remembrance Day

Heroes Remember

Transcript
Well certainly try to remember friends that didn’t come back. I haven’t always gone on parade and Remembrance Day. The last few years I have gone every year. I was Sergeant-at-Arms for the Legislature for seven years and I used to go on parade with the Premier, carry the wreath and hand it to him. I’ve been very proud of the crowds of young people that are coming to Remembrance Day. It seems to me that there are more people come than ever before. Which is rather surprising. You would think right after the war that, that would have been when more people came out. But it seems to me that it’s increased tremendously in the last few years and that must be that young people look at it differently, probably we explain things better than we used to. Certainly I never spoke at any Veteran’s Day do until the last few years. So maybe that’s increased the interest of young people that it makes me feel good that they do come out on parade.
Description

Mr. Kerry discusses his renewed involvement in Remembrance Day and how impressed and gratified he is to see, in the past few years, the public’s interest rekindled as well.
