Ce mémorial en l'honneur des anciens combattants et des morts de la région de Sandwich, lors de la Première Guerre mondiale, a été érigé par le chapitre Honourable James Baby de l'Ordre impérial des Filles de l'Empire. Il a été remis à neuf en 1980 par le Comité des services commémoratifs des Anciens Combattants de Windsor, puis, en 1993, par la filiale 143 de la Légion royale canadienne et la Ville de Windsor. Ce mémorial a été dédié de nouveau le 11 novembre 1993.
