The Soldiers' Tower was built at University of Toronto between 1919-1924 in memory of those lost to the University in the Great War. Funds were raised by the Alumni Federation (now called the University of Toronto Alumni Association). The name of "Sgt. F. Hume 47th Bn" is among the 628 names carved on the Memorial Screen, seen at photo left. Photo: K. Parks, Alumni Relations.

Inscription in Memorial Room, Soldiers' Tower, University of Toronto. The carillon was installed and dedicated in 1927. Originally there were 23 bells. Alumni and friends of the University donated the funds for specific carillon bells in memory of those who fell in the Great War. Dedications are carved high on the walls of the Memorial Room. The inscription for bell XXI reads: " 'Extol, ye bell, the virtue of our valorous men'. Alumni Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering". Photo by K. Parks, Alumni Relations.

CIMETIÈRE BRITANNIQUE DE NINE ELMS (Bélgique) Belgique
Le cimetière britannique de Nine Elms est situé à 11,5 kilomètres à l'ouest du centre-ville d'Ypres, sur la Helleketelweg, une route qui part de la route N308 reliant Ypres à Poperinge. À partir du centre-ville d'Ypres, rendez-vous sur la route Poperingseweg (N308) par la Elverdingsestraat en passant au-dessus de deux petits carrefours giratoires sur la J. Capronstraat. La Poperingseweg est le prolongement de la J. Capronstraat et débute juste après un passage à niveau important.
En arrivant sur la route périphérique de Poperinge, la Europalaan (R33), la route de ceinture, à gauche, dans le sens des aiguilles d'une montre, encercle la ville de Poperinge et rejoint la route N308 en direction d'Oost Cappel. Suivez cette route et à 2,5 kilomètres sur la R33, tournez à gauche sur la Helleketelweg.
Le cimetière se trouve du côté gauche de cette route, à 700 mètres.
