Lieut. Charles Alister Mcgillivray (RMC 1916) was born July 29th, 1899, the son of Judge T. A. MacGillivray, of Whitby. He studied at Highfield 1914-16 and at R.M.C. 1916. He served with the Royal Flying Corps. He died as the result of an accident on Feb. 14th, 1918. An accident, which happened in England, closed a promising career at the age of 18. He is commemorated on the Memorial Tablet at Hillfield-Strathallan College, the Memorial Arch at the Royal Military College of Canada, and in the First World War Book of Remembrance.

1238 2nd Lieut Charles Allister McGillivray (RMC 1916) served with the Royal Flying Corps. He died 14 Feb 1918. He was buried in the Durrington Cemetery in Wiltshire, United Kingdom.
