The Military Medal and service medals awarded to Pte. John Stanley Robson 27th (City of Winnipeg) Battalion CEF. Citation for Military Medal: For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty on September 15th and 16th 1916, this stretcher bearer worked unceasingly under intense fire attending to wounded in shell holes in the depth of 1200 yards by his own efforts he succeeded in evacuating and saving the lives of a large number of his comrades. (LG: 9-12-16). Robson received a shrapnel wound to the head, and died of his wounds on September 28, 1916.

Étaples est une ville située à 27 kilomètres environ au sud de Boulogne. Le cimetière militaire se trouve au nord de la ville, du côté ouest de la route qui mène à Boulogne.
