2527 Lieutenant Oliver Hugh Hopkins (RMC 1936) was the son of Lt.-Col. J. R. Hopkins and Winnifred Irene Hopkins. He was the husband of Kathleen Doreen Hopkins, of Verdun, Quebec. He served with the Ontario Regiment, R.C.A.C. 11th Armd. Regt. He died on July 1, 1944 at 25 years of age. He was buried in the Assissi War Cemetery in Assissi, Peruglia, Italy V, E, 9.

Le cimetière d'Assisi forme une partie de la localité de Rivotorto dans la commune d'Assisi, de la province de Perugia. À partir de Rome, prenez l'autoroute A1, Rome-Milan, sortez à Orte et continez sur la route 75 vers Perugia et suivez les panneaux d'indication pour Assisi. Prenez la route pour Rivotorto, et au carrefour, à partir duquel on peut voir une église, tournez à gauche et vous atteindrez le Cimetière de Guerre d'Assisi, à environ 500 mètres.
