Sous-lieutenant d'aviation Victor Alfred Knox
This is the Memorial for Pilot Officer Victor A. Knox who was the Tail Gunner in the same plane that I was in. We were shot down the night of April 22/23, 1944 over Laon in L'Aisne, and he was the only fatal casualty. He lies in Couvron Amencour Communal Cemetery. Victor's stone is on the left; on the right is the stone of an unknown Airman.

CIMETIÈRE COMMUNAL DE COUVRON-ET-AUMENCOURT Aisne, France
Couvron-et-Aumencourt est un village à 12 kilomètres au nord-nord-ouest de Laon et à 5 kilomètres environ au nord de Crépy. Le cimetière communal de Couvron-et-Aumencourt se trouve au sud-est du village.
