Lancaster R5628 of 207 (RAF) Sqn. and was on Gardening (mining) operation to Silverthorn.(Kattegat)<P>
On the return flight the aircraft was attacked by a German night fighter and crashed at 04:09 into the sea some 10 kilometres south west of Thyborøn killing all onboard.
Flt.Engr. Sgt Francis R. Carter and W/Op-Air Gnr. P/O Donald W. Ross RCAF were on 14/9 1942 laid to rest in Lemvig cemetery.

CIMETIÈRE DE LEMVIG Danemark
Lemvig est une petite ville portuaire de la côte ouest du Jutland, du côté sud du fjord de Lim. Le cimetière général se trouve du côté droit de la route de Ringkobing. À environ 225 mètres de l'entrée se trouve le lot britannique, où 45 personnes sont inhumées.
