I mean men can be emotional and sentimental, but these fellows are like brothers. And I mean brothers. They care about each other. They even have a fund now that they help each other with. But there’s something there that hits your heart when you see them. They’re not silly about it, but there’s a strength there in their warmth. And that’s enough to build a person up. Why would we feel sorry about ourselves or these things when you see these men whose life is yet to come, and some of them there’s very few of them left now, I think there were over seven hundred I think. I don’t even know if there’s a hundred left now.I don’t think, you know, that people will ever realize and they sifted back into jobs and were accepted and to me that’s a fine testimony to the care they got and to the spirit that was instilled in them that they could carry on, raise families and so on. It’s just one of those things where you hate to see the men disappear, but you thank the Lord that you got the memories of them.
