The Patricia’s say, you know, “Once a Patricia, always a Patricia!” I like to think of it, “Once a Patricia medic, always a Patricia medic!” And if they’re getting up and doing it there is nowhere else I would rather be. Forever plus a day! I still say that to the guys when I run into them, “Forever plus a day, we’re a medic!”

I don’t even know if there are reasons. It’s just a feeling. And I find now, like I am old in the military now. I have sixteen and a half years in and I think I am only really starting to get it now! You think you had the bond a decade ago or twelve years ago as you go through these crazy circumstances. At that moment in time and obviously you go through life together and life, death, horrible experiences, sweat, tears, blood and obviously the bonds are being developed there. But it’s now ten years later there is a reunion for this or I am attending something else and it’s just a sensation when you cross paths and I think now I am really getting it.
