Capitaine d'aviation William Robert Smith
This outdoor plaque is located at the “Old Vic” building, part of Victoria University in the University of Toronto. The decorative motif at the top shows the Victoria University crest, with motto in Latin: “ABEUNT STUDIA IN MORES”. The plaque is inscribed: “THEY WERE VALIANT IN LIFE TRIUMPHANT IN DEATH. ERECTED TO THE MEMORY OF THE STUDENTS OF THIS COLLEGE WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES IN THE GREAT WAR 1939-1945. THIS TABLET WAS ERECTED BY THE BOARD OF REGENTS AND DEDICATED OCTOBER 13TH, 1953”. CIMETIÈRE DE GUERRE DE DURNBACH Allemagne
Durnbach est un village à 16 kilomètres à l'est de Bad Tolz, une ville située à 48 kilomètres au sud de Munich. Le cimetière de guerre de Durnbach est à 3 kilomètres au nord du village de Gmund am Tegernsee. En suivant la A8 à partir de Munich, tournez à l'intersection Holzkirchen, prenant ainsi la route 318 en direction de Gmund am Tegernsee. Au carrefour avec la 427, tournez à gauche sur la Miesbach. Le cimetière se trouve à gauche, à 500 mètres environ du carrefour entre la 318 et la 472.
