Ce mémorial est dédié aux hommes du canton de Foley qui ont donné leur vie pendant les Première et Seconde Guerres mondiales. Il a été érigé par le Country Community Club et le canton de Foley. Il remplace le cénotaphe original, érigé en 1953.
Le cénotaphe original se trouvait à la hall Foley Memorial. Une petite plaque et la croix venant du cénotaphe original se trouve à côté du nouveau cénotaphe.

GEORGE RICHARDSON, V.C. 1831-1923
Private Richardson won the Victoria Cross while fighting
with the Border Regiment of the British Army in northern
India during the Indian Mutiny of 1857-59. As part of a
detachment sent to dislodge rebels in the hills of the Kewarie
Trans-Gogra district on April 27, 1859, he displayed "deter-
mined courage in having, though severely wounded... closed
with and secured a rebel Sepoy (Indian soldier) armed with
a broad revolver". An Irishman by birth, Richardson came
to Canada in the early 1860’s. During the 1880’s and 1890’s
he lived on a farm one kilometre southwest of here. He held
numerous township offices including Reeve of Oakley Town-
ship (1895-96).

GEORGE RICHARDSON, V.C. 1831-1923
George Richardson a obtenu la Croix de Victoria pour avoir combattu avec le Border Regiment de l’armée britannique dans le nord de l’Inde au cours de la mutinerie indienne de 1857-1859. Membre d’un détachement chargé de déloger des rebelles du district de Kewarie Trans-Gogra, le 27 avril 1859, il a manifesté, malgré de graves blessures, un courage sans réserve en abordant et en maîtrisant un rebelle armé d’un revolver. Irlandais de naissance, Richardson émigre au Canada au début des années 1860. Durant les années1880-1890, il habite sur une ferme située à un kilomètre au sud-ouest d’ici. Il occupe de nombreux postes au service du canton, y compris celui de préfet du canton d’Oakley (1895-1896).
La plaque de George Richardson, V.C. a été érigé en 1992 par la Fondation du patrimoine ontarien, du ministère de la Culture et des Communications.
To the Glory of God and in loving Memory of Pte Reginald D. Taylor 20th Battalion, C.E.F., second son of Frederick Claude Taylor, born 5 June 1897, died 16 March 1915. Requiescat in pace. "Dulce et decorum est pro patria mori."
Ce mémorial est dédié au soldat Reginald D. Taylor.
To the Glory of God, and in proud and loving memory of Private Oswald Gilbert Darling, Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry, severely wounded at Vimy, April 10, 1917, and killed in action on the night of Sept 28, 1918 near Cambrai, France. The Cross upon the Belfry of this Church is erected in his memory.
