The Veteran and Family Wellbeing Fund provides funding that supports the Veteran community. Here is some of the funded work by organizations to improve the well-being of 2SLGBTQI+ Veterans and their families.
The project will target underserved Veterans seeking community with other Veterans, including women, gender diverse, LGBTQ+, Indigenous, racialized, equity seeking groups to decrease isolation through peer support and regular social events.
Funding to assist Women and 2SLGBTQI+ Veterans with finding rewarding skilled trades career opportunities across Canada.
This funding will help develop new programming specifically to support 2SLGBTQI+ Veterans as well as survivors of Military Sexual Trauma and to implement new peer-led activities in Edmonton and Calgary.
The funding will be used to offer their Equal Treatment for All program. This project focuses on Indigenous, women and 2SLGBTQI+ Veterans and their families who are homeless, at risk of homelessness or otherwise in crisis.
