Q5. How long do consultations run?

A5. Each consultation has its own timeline, posted on the webpage. Most consultations are open for one to four weeks.


Q6. How long does it take to complete a questionnaire?

A6. Most questionnaires take between five to fifteen minutes to complete, depending on the topic and how much detail you choose to provide.


Q7. Who should participate in the consultations?

A7. Each consultation explains who it is for, so you can decide if it is relevant to you.


Q8. How will the information gathered through Let’s Talk Veterans be used?

A8. Feedback through Let’s Talk Veterans is one part of our decision-making process. It helps VAC make informed decisions about programs and services.

Q9. How will you ensure my privacy is protected during the consultation process?

A9. We take your privacy seriously. Participation is voluntary, and your information is protected. The information you provide will remain confidential and protected under Canada’s privacy laws and the Government of Canada’s digital security practices.

Final reports are anonymous and will not identify you or your responses. Your feedback will not affect any programs or services you currently receive or may receive in the future.


Q10. Will my case manager or other VAC employees follow-up with me on my responses?

A10. No. The feedback you share is for consultation purposes only. It will not affect any programs or services you currently receive or may receive in the future.

The VAC Assistance Service offers free, confidential psychological support. It is available 24/7 for Veterans, former RCMP members, their families, and caregivers. You do not need to be a VAC client to use this service.
