Action through investments

Funded by Veterans Affairs, a look at the work by organizations to improve the career opportunities for Veterans.

Team Rubicon Canada

The project will provide free emergency management education to transitioning Veterans through instruction on the Incident Command System. This includes planning, coordination, and implementation of Incident Command system training across Canada virtually, with more advanced training in on-site locations, enhancing participants’ employability in emergency management.

True Patriot Love

The project harnesses Veterans' propensity to serve and addresses the loss of purpose and connection that can occur after leaving the military. The project will design a National Action Plan on Veteran Volunteerism that will support determinants of well-being.

Helmets to Hardhats

Helmets to Hardhats Canada, based in Ottawa, ON, provides opportunities in the construction and related industries for serving, transitioning and former military. Funding will assist Veterans with finding rewarding skilled trades career opportunities across Canada.

Prince's Trust Canada will use funding to implement their project Operation Entrepreneur – a network of supports designed to help Veterans overcome barriers in their transition from military service so that they become effective, successful entrepreneurs with a new civilian mission.
