Overview:
Fredericton Homeless Shelters used funding from the Veteran and Family Well-Being Fund to support its Homeless Veteran Pilot Project. This project identified Veterans who are experiencing homelessness in the Fredericton and surrounding areas, and provided them with temporary housing and case management services.
Project Goals:
The goal of this project was to provide temporary housing and services for Veterans experiencing homelessness, and to assist Veterans with benefit application processes.
Project Activities:
To achieve their goal, Fredericton Homeless Shelter:
- Identified Veterans experiencing homelessness;
- Completed intake processes for Veterans facing homelessness;
- Provided Veterans with access to permanent housing.
Project Results:
Fredericton Homeless Shelters was able to achieve their outlined goals by helping to provide a safe place to stay for eight Veterans.
