Albert Wilson (Posthumous)

Mr. Wilson was a Canadian Forces Veteran prior to working for Alcan for more than 35 years. He was also actively involved with The Royal Canadian Legion Branch #235. He was Branch president in 1970, 1971, 1975 and 1982. He was also vice president and secretary of the Branch for several years. Mr. Wilson received the Legion's Meritorious Service Medal for his devotion to the Legion's objectives. He participated in many community events and ceremonies including Remembrance Day and the Remembrance Carnival in Chicoutimi. In 1972, Mr. Wilson participated in a Veterans' congress in Ottawa and met with then Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau. Mr. Wilson was appreciated and well respected by his fellow Veterans and citizens of the Chicoutimi area. He was considered to be a champion of Veterans' causes.
