Alexander Hall

Mr. Hall is a Second World War Veteran who joined the Navy in 1940 and retired in 1946. He served from Norway to Africa, Sicily to Italy, in Dieppe and on D-Day and finally in the Far East from Saigon to Singapore and India.

In 1999, Mr. Hall began dedicating his free time to the Memory Project, sharing his recollections and personal military stories with youth in Montréal-area schools. Mr. Hall is a devoted volunteer who inspires students with his passionate personal anecdotes of the Second World War, and the profound respect he holds for fellow servicemen. In an effort to engage his audience, he brings personal artefacts, medals and photos to his presentations and generously shares his experiences and his time with students.
