Mr. Glass is a Canadian Forces Veteran. He is a founding member and current President of the Gulf War Veterans Association of Canada. By accepting the role of President, Mr. Glass ensured the survival of the association. As a past member of Canadian Air Force Association, Mr. Glass held several positions and for the longest time was the welfare officer in Cold Lake, Alberta, where he assisted numerous Veterans in obtaining service and benefit entitlements. Mr. Glass was a founding member of Canadian Legion’s Fields of Honour for a cemetery in Cold Lake, where he assisted in raising funds and designing the project. Mr. Glass presently sits on the Veterans Affairs Canada Stakeholders Committee, where Veterans’ issues are discussed. Mr. Glass was also a member of the Veterans Affairs Gerontological Advisory Council and a founding member of the Veterans Ombudsman Strategic Council. Mr. Glass participates in Veterans' Week activities representing Gulf War Veterans.
