Andrew Turnbull

Mr. Andrew Turnbull served in the Royal Canadian Navy during the Second World War. Following the War, Mr. Turnbull pursued a career as a teacher of technical trades. He is known as an advocate for Veterans and as a community leader. It has been his consuming quest to locate the name of every Veteran who served from the Cambridge Narrows area and have their name inscribed on a local cenotaph. Through Mr. Turnbull's insight and leadership, the cenotaph is now a lasting tribute to their memory. Mr. Turnbull is often found at home in his studio where he constructs items which he generously shares with local Veterans, a church or members of his community. A recipient of the Queen's Golden Jubilee, Mr. Turnbull is a well-respected community leader.
