Arnold Willett

Mr. Willett is a retired Canadian Forces Veteran. He is a dedicated member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 175. Mr. Willett has been the Service Officer of the Branch for many years, and in this position, he assists numerous Veterans and their dependents in obtaining benefits. Mr. Willett possesses a sound knowledge of Veterans Affairs Canada's pension programs and policies and his current client base is composed of over 100 clients. He also assists widows with funeral arrangements and liaises with funeral homes to obtain reduced rates for Veterans' funerals. In addition, Mr. Willett is the back-up coordinator of the Branch's Honour Guard when the Sergeant At Arms is unavailable. In addition to driving Veterans to appointments, Mr. Willett organizes a pool of volunteers who visit Veterans at the Kipnes Centre for Veterans. He has also arranged for buses to provide free transportation for shut-in Branch members to attend Legion functions, as well as ceremonies such as Remembrance Day and V-E Day.
