Bill Beswetherick

Mr. Beswetherick is a Canadian Forces Veteran and co-author of Gananoque Remembers, a book honouring the 83 men from Gananoque who made the ultimate sacrifice during the First and Second World Wars. He is an active volunteer in the community, working closely with the Gananoque Museum and visiting schools to share his experiences with the students. He is actively involved with The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 92 and was instrumental in the organization of the 57th Annual Goodwill Day. He arranged to have Private Harry Brown's Victoria Cross displayed at the local Legion branch during the dedication ceremony of a cairn in Private Brown's honour. In addition to the Victoria Cross, Mr. Beswetherick managed to accumulate one of the largest displays of military artefacts in Ontario for the event. Currently, Mr. Beswetherick is serving as secretary and public relations officer for Branch 92 and is working on his second book on military history.
