Mrs. Carol Whitehead is the current President of the Army, Navy and Air Force Veterans Ladies Auxiliary Unit #2 in Calgary. She is a strong supporter of Unit #2’s ongoing programs to assist Veterans and their dependents.
Over the last 12 years, Mrs. Whitehead has organized visits with Veterans at the Colonel Belcher Veterans Care Facility in Calgary, and she arranges for entertainment, food and beverages. She also procures blue blazers that she donates to the Veterans in care so they can proudly display their medals during remembrance services.
Mrs. Whitehead is also involved with widows, assisting them to maintain their homes so they can remain there as long as possible. She also actively engaged in the annual Poppy Campaign.
