Ms. Catherine A. McIntyre is a life member of The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 530 (Waterloo) where she has held the positions of first Vice President, Secretary, Youth Education Chair, and Honours and Awards Chair. Ms. McIntyre also works in the Kitchener-Waterloo Poppy Fund House as Office Administrator where her duties go far beyond managing all aspects of administration. At the Poppy House, she also volunteers to help Veterans and their families by contacting Veterans Affairs Canada for assistance with medical requirements.
Ms. McIntyre arranges the student programs for The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 530 “Why We Remember Week.” This program transports in excess of 500 students to the Legion every day for the week, and she provides them with poppies, bookmarks and remembrance materials. She also sets up the wreath laying for all the parades in the Kitchener-Waterloo area. She is present at all of the parades and services, including Veterans’ funerals. Ms. McIntyre is dedicated to providing great service to the Veteran community.
