Mr. Christie is a Merchant Navy Veteran of the Second World War who, for more than 35 years, has devoted himself to working on behalf of Veterans. He is President of the United Services Club of Montréal and Curator of the War Amps Museum. Mr. Christie has displayed remarkable dedication by assisting Veterans before the Veterans Review and Appeal Board, intervening on their behalf, or bringing attention to the cases of Veterans, widows and orphans requiring financial or medical assistance. Additionally, Mr. Christie has displayed a commendable commitment to these individuals' daily well-being. He played a valued role in developing the Merchant Navy Book of Remembrance, which was dedicated in 1994. His selfless efforts have been recognized by several leading Veterans' organizations.
